We Grow Panthers Spotlight

This year’s Kahoot! Cup brought educators and learners together from every corner of the globe—bigger, bolder, and more community-driven than ever before. What started as a fun international trivia challenge has officially grown into a global learning movement powered by passionate teachers and curious students.

The Kahoot! Cup is the passion project of Allisonville Elementary teacher Steve Auslander, a longtime advocate for playful, engaging learning experiences and veteran Kahoot! Ambassador. Nearly ten years ago, Steve envisioned an event that could unite classrooms across the globe in real time, blending friendly competition with meaningful learning. Read more about this international event that started right here at Allisonville Elementary.

Dual Language Immersion

Did You Know MSDWT Has a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program?

Right here in Washington Township, our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program gives students the opportunity to become bilingual, biliterate, and globally ready while learning all their core subjects in English and Spanish, beginning at Willow Lake Elementary and continuing through Westlane Middle School. Over the course of the program, students learn math, science, social studies, and language arts in both languages - building strong academic skills, cultural understanding, and confidence as lifelong learners. In 6th grade, students in the Dual Language Immersion program even earn high school Spanish credits, putting them on a path toward advanced coursework and college readiness. Our DLI program is one of the many ways MSDWT empowers students to thrive in a connected, multilingual world.
