We Grow Panthers Spotlight

If you missed the highlight of the North Central High School flag football team on WTHR-TV, you can catch it here. It was a great first season for this team and we will be excited to see where they go next year. #WeGrowPanthers #WhyWT

Teaching and Learning

We’re proud to celebrate our incredible WTS principals whose leadership, dedication, and care make a lasting impact on our students, staff, and community.

Throughout the month, join us in recognizing and thanking our principals for the difference they make every day.

Elementary & Middle Schools

All students in grades 3-8 will participate in the Indiana ILEARN Checkpoints and a summative ILEARN Assessment this school year. The first ILEARN Checkpoint testing window opens on Monday, October 20. Your partnership is essential in helping your student perform their best: please ensure they arrive at school on time each day, get plenty of restful sleep each night, and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. Parents of students in grades 3-8 received an important ParentSquare message with more details regarding ILEARN Checkpoints.

6-12 Non-Resident Enrollment Application Now Open for 2026-2027

The official application window for families who live outside our district boundaries but wish for their students to attend Washington Township Schools in grades 6-12 for the 2026-2027 school year is now open.

The application period will run from: Monday, October 13, 2025, through Friday, November 21, 2025.

Please note that this is a strict application window for non-resident enrollment in our secondary schools (grades 6-12). All required documentation must be submitted within these dates to be considered for the 2026-2027 school year.

There will be a similar nonresident application process for kindergarten through 5th grade that will be available in the spring of 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.

How You Can Help:
We highly value word-of-mouth recommendations, and our current families are our best ambassadors. We encourage you to share this information with any friends, neighbors, or colleagues who reside outside of our district and may be interested in having their student attend our schools next year. More details, including links to the online application and required documentation, can be found on the Nonresident Enrollment section of the District website. Seats available by building and by grade level are displayed on this site.

Information For Current Non-Resident Families
While the majority of our current nonresident families will not need to make an application for the 2026-2027 school year to continue attending our schools, we do require that families reapply when their student moves from elementary to middle school or from middle school to high school. We encourage all nonresident families to review the following chart to determine if any steps are necessary to ensure your student(s) continued enrollment for 2026-2027.
